RE: sunshine on cities report

so williston is horking about double what the city average is in ND???

wow...

hmm,

yeah I'm pretty shocked but then again I heard today that nancy pelosi is renting a place for 18,000 a month.

http://www.rollcall.com/issues/55_146/news/47263-1.html

I don't believe either is right, in fact I think it's an abomination that we as a people tolerate either.

especially from a federal government which is supposed to be smaller and submissive to the states.

our political system is out of control,

i'm very thankful to be a native of nd and be living here now as well.  ND and MT are the only two states that have a surplus currently from what I understand.

can you imagine being in Kansas or California? and taking IOU's on your state tax returns :P

LOL

Here is a report from the North Dakota Policy Council. It is part of the Sunshine on cities. They also have a Sunshine on Schools.

http://www.sunshineoncities.org/TaxLevy_reports.aspx?Selected=WILLISTON

Just surf the site and inform yourself.

The ND Policy Council also puts out the Pork report.
In 2007 our legislature passed a bill to protect black birds. They appropriated $79'500 from our tax dollars.

The racing commission rec'd $120'640 to benefit the horse racing industry

The Bank of ND rec'd $100'000 for landscaping.

These are our tax dollars. The report covers even the former Ag Commissioner submitting a $7 reimbursement for admission to the ND State Fair.

You may be surprised how our hard earned money is spent.
