RE: $500 Reward

I really hope that they find an answer. It really and excuse my language, pisses me off. I dont know Lonnie, but I have posted this all over Myspace and Facebook, along with several of my friends, and Im sure their friends also.

Oh man, and there is a rumor going around town that there has been more dogs killed by some gang or cult, that they are practicing and going to do something on Halloween. I'm not saying its true or trying to spread rumors, but I think its crazy.

Steve- I asked Lonnie about the pickup. She gave me the whole story. She locked her 4 black labs in the garage and left for Tioga at 3 on Saturday. Sometime after she left someone got into the garage and took three of them. The fourth does not like people so she probably wouldn't go with whoever let them out. The dog that was peppered with gunshot and the one uninjured lab then at some point made it back home. The dog that was killed was brought back dead and laid on the steps back in the garage. Two little boys on a four wheeler were stopped by someone in a white pickup who asked them if they had seen 2 black labs running. When they said no, the pickup turned around and left. It may be totally unrelated but Lonnie has the only black labs in her area. The Humane Society is helping however they can and the Sheriff's Dept is on the case.

I am not sure about the pickup, I will ask her though. Due to donations from other concerned residents, the reward is now $1000. One of the sad things about this  is that Buddy, the dog that died was a stray that wandered on to their property about a month ago. Lonnie and her family took him in even though they already have pets because they didn't have the heart to send him to the pound. It is such a sad, sad deal. Not to mention, was this random, doubtful since somebody seemed to know what garage to put him in, or was somebody sending a message. Whoever it was I certainly don't want them near me, my family, or my beloved pets.

Thanks for posting that, Stacy.  I hadn't heard the whole story so I was reserving judgement.  That email sums it up.

Unreal. no

Were her dogs seen with this pickup with the black labs?

Here is an email from Lonnie:

Hello my name is Lonnie Iverson and I am writing this
email looking for info to help me find the person who shot my dog on
Saturday .  My family lives on the Eagle Ridge Road.  They came into
my garage and let out my dogs and basically shot them.  One of them
died and the other just got peppered. Then they took him home ( the
dead one)  and placed him on my steps in my garage.  I cant even
imagine who could have done this.  The time frame is after 3 pm to 8pm
on Saturday.  This is in the middle of the afternoon.  So if anyone
has seen a pickup with 3 black labs or seen anything PLEASE......My
number is 770-1280 or can call me at Lonnie's Roadhouse Cafe 774-1103
There is a reward of $500. + . People keep adding to my reward. Please
forward to all friends and family.  I need to catch this person.
Please and Thank you!!
             Lonnie

I am not sure but I guess he was placed in the garage after he was shot so that doesn't look like an accident.

Lonnie from Lonnie's Cafe is offering a $500 reward for info that leads to whomever shot and killed her black lab this weekend. He had buckshot to his back leg and a rifle shot to the back of the neck. Whoever did this then put him in her garage for her children to then find him. Please let her know if you hear anything at all. Thanks for your help.
