Nobel Peace Prize. Isn't that something they give to people who work to promote peace? Isn't Obama increasing the number of troops in Afghanistan?

stacyslap....I actually agree with you on the Fox spin in this instance and think they should have let that one go and be more generous in the reporting....but....please do not forget that just about every single one of the other network shows do EXACTLY the same thing....it is just that they spin it 180 degrees to the left...and I think that is the gist of why Fox News is so popular....people are jaded from the continuous assault of liberal drivel on every network. Even the liberals look at Fox regularly.
The best thing about being broke is not being able to afford cable... and therefore, no cable news.

"Chris Matthews' leg exploded". I don't get the joke. Where is the relation to the previous statement? I just don't see a punchline, maybe it's my lack of sense of humor.

From what I could find there were a record 205 nominees this year, of which 33 were organizations. The nominees are kept secret for 50 years unless the person nominating an individual/organization wants to make their nomination public. I guess we'll find out who his competition was in 2059. I'm sure we'll all care by then.
I guess the competition was pretty weak this year. As far as FOX News' comments, they bash absolutely everything this man does. It's their job and their most hardcore righties and Obama haters eat it and smile. (I'm not lumping the 2 together, just laying out the 2 groups' love affair with listening to what they like to hear instead of facts. It gets ratings and makes Rupert Murdoch rich!)
Back to topic, I tried Googling who the other nominees were and only found a nominee entrance form. I can't think of anyone who's done anything this year worth a pile of rats asses, does the US President get it by default? (kidding)
I like how they throw in the nugget in the first paragraph how it was stunning that he would win it "one week after failing to win an Olympic bid for his adopted hometown." Really? What does that have to do with the Nobel Peace Prize? Why can't Fox News let anything go?

To tell you the truth...I think he does. I don't like his philosophies....I don't like his politics, I don't like any number of things he does and has done since he became President, but from a strictly logical standpoint....and if you take his "world tour" at face value and tried to look at it from a neutral standpoint.... he really was out there doing the Rodney King thing...."hey! can't we all just get along?"
...so from my perspective...the short answer is YES!
