Ok first of all I dont know how this got from gay people to insurance premiums......This is about a girl who had the guts to stand up on stage infront of millions of people watching and give an answer she firmly believes in! GOOD FOR HER!!!!!!! Now do I agree with her answer? DO you agree with her answer??? Who cares? How many of you would of stood up there knowing the answer that you were going to give would clearly offend one of the judges, possible cost you the very thing you were competing for in front of millions? I doubt very many of you would! It takes one hell of a person to do that! Kudos to her!
I did not single out Gay People... But years ago when Aids was a big issue and watching on TV about families - and medical problems etc... I was paying for my own insurance and still do to this day... the last few year's my insurance has gone up close to 100.00 a month... my insurance personally with my husbands is 1000.00 a month... Now this is not going for me - It is going to every other Tom - Dick - and Harry who do not have insurance.. I am thinking after paying all these year's - my insurance for my health (the ONE I pay for) will no longer be their for me. It has gone to all the People have LIVED off the system... JUST MY PERSONAL BELIEF. I could care less what GAY people do.... Just pay your own way and do not parade around and throw it in my face... We as a country should not have to pay for GAY Parades with the Law Enforcement Center - Especially California who has a Month - again - to come up with money... Wait for Pelosi to hit the rest of the Country for this one again. Again Just My Personal Opinion.
I don't think that has anything to with whether gay people should be allowed to married. Also, why would it be any more or less expensive than now. I don't think most gay people are getting married for their partners insurance. I didn't marry Ryan for his and I doubt you married your husband because of his insurance.
Well apparently we are all getting taxed more for our Life Styles - Smoking - Too Fat -or whatever For a Different Type of Health Care. We have to pay Income Tax on the Health Care Benefits we recieve. Their are alot of Gay People who are not responsible as well...We get to pay for their Health Care through our taxes.

She apparently was fired because she wasn't holding up her obligations for appearances as Miss Claifornia. He said/she said. Again though, it's the Miss USA pageant. It's for entertainment. She also said in her country gays shouldn't be married. In my country, and in many states in my country, they can and they should.
According to her attorney, she has met every obligation they have set before her. So in all actuality, I'm thinking Trump is taking heat as a result of both her answer AND the photos. Regardless, the whole situation is disgraceful even if it's for entertainment purposes. The idiot that asked the question brought politics into something that was meant for merely entertainment purposes. He/she/it whatever should be banned from these kinds of events. In my opinion...of course.

No offense here Steve and VKO, but I believe you are talking about the Miss USA Pagent, not the "Miss America" Pagent. They are 2 different entities... I guess.

Should the question have even been asked? No way. Was there a better answer? Absolutely.
One thing I find funny about this is the fact that she has been "fired" for pictures of her in "scantily clad" attire. Well...ummm...I do believe that ALL OF THE MISS AMERICA CONTESTANTS were roaming around on the stage in front of ALL VIEWERS in two piece "scantily clad" swimsuits. Those pics of her were no worse (or better depending on how you look at it). Ms. Prejean has done her due diligence in making this a PR nightmare for this pageant. And now Trump has shown his true colors as well. I have a feeling there's a lot more to this story than we'll know about for a long time to come.

Wow.. I know this is wonderful for our best of the best. But to be Policatically Correct and Knocked on the head to speak their truths - is now turning into - other people's beliefs and words is something else. I am now asking why they, the parent's and these talented young women, would work so hard and be so great, have people like Trump and that awful man that asked that question, hurt the great young women of the USA. Also the people in Charge do the same to very Great Talented Young Men. I believe in this Pageant - have donated to it - but truly am unsettled about where it is ending up.
