I wish we still had a shelter for disowned pets like we used to have in the old zoo building, but apparently we just don't have the funds for that anymore.
I think that they have "foster homes" for disowned pets now while they try to find homes for them. I have no idea if they will take all pets that they are called about or if they will come and get them at the farm.
It looks like they put pictures of them on their site and try to find homes for them.

I live 20 miles out of town. We don't have police.
LOL...then call the humane society...I'm sure they will travel the long long distance of 20 miles if you tell them come and get this dog or I shoot it.....
So you all know i did not shoot the dog... he was here yesterday and slept..ate alot of food - gone last night - was here this morning - sleeping on the bed - ate alot of food. And gone tonight...The poor anamal is on his own... SKM - I tried to put him in my car to take to town... He growled and showed his teeth....So much for that idea. Mommy of two I would like to know exactly what other options. I am not mean one... Some animals don't have much options. Hope this puts your hearts and mind to rest.
Well...for starters..you could call the police or humane society. Let them deal with it. If they do put him down, they do it in a more humane way than just "take them out and shoot them". Thats horrible!

This dog was dumped - not from a happy home otherwise his feet pads would not be frozen. If it were from a happy home i would try my best. Would you like to send money for vet bills - I have 4 dogs and 5 horses that get regular vet checks. Sorry one more is costly. Thanks for your assumptions.
Dang it - if you have no place for your animals - take them out and shoot them. I now have a part Rott Wheeler (sp) laying in my garage - feet have been frozen. He is happy to be here but trust is an issue. I gave him food water and 3 dog beds to lay on... He has plans not to move.. Please if you cannot take care of your animals - have the vet put them down. Take them out and shoot them. It's your responsibility not mine.. This Rott Wheeler will have to be shot - I have little tiny shih tzu's - this is not a working relationship at the farm.

He's ok - I will check will other farms first. I just have to take my little male shih tzu with me. If he got out of the fence he'd be lunch. If I can't find any solution - I'll give you a call. He is an older dog and arthritic. Thanks it's just mean to dump animals along side roads. Thanks again.
