I've paid more attention to as many local sports teams as I can this year and I'm very impressed by how hard they all have worked. It's amazing how much athletic talent we have representing our region. I'm going to point out a couple but that doesn't mean I haven't recognized most. And these are in no particular order, the numbering will simply be for organization purposes only. Please feel free to add to this or include ones that I haven't mentioned.
1. TC Crusaders Bball -- what can I say? They define teamwork. Congrats guys! Keep up the great work!
2. Coyote Boys Bball -- Every bit as good as any team in the state. Couple of very difficult road trips lately. Three trips to Bismarck in what...two weeks? What's wrong with that picture? Regardless, they've battled tough all year and have a great record to prove it. Awesome job guys!
3. Coyote Girls Bball -- the scoreboard truly does NOT reflect how hard these girls work. I've seen these girls play and from the stands they look like they're leaving everything on the court. Very proud of them all and Coach LaDue. I have a very good feeling this program will turn around in a hurry with very good leadership! Good luck the rest of the way!!
4. Coyotey boys hockey -- These guys dominate. 3 more big wins this weekend. In fact, they're so hot right now, I hope they don't start melting the ice....sorry, corny..I know.
5. Coyote girls hockey -- I believe these girls can beat any team in the state. Minor setback last night against Minot. They outplayed them but couldn't slip one past their goalie. Keep your heads up girls, can't ask for much more.
6. Coyote wrestling -- These guys capped off an excellent regular season with their win over Century. Great to see this club bring excellence back to Williston wrestling.
I know there are schools in the local region that are having great seasons. If you have something positive to say about your home town teams, please jump right in and give props. These young men and women deserve to be applauded and recognized for their hard work and dedication to their extra curricular activities.
