I was under the impression that this message board was in response to the Herald censoring posts on their guestbook, am I incorrect?
It seems that if you lean away from the conservative standpoint that most people on this forum take, you are instantly labeled a "wacko" or uneducated.
THis is the kind of post we are looking for. Debate, discussion, conversation....no problem..... The Vice President as Darth...no problem...does not involve someone else's tragedies...Heck I would be even okay if you had him posing with a shotgun and some ducks...it is poking fun in a positive way...have at 'er NaderMoore.

You mentioned the herald, as I did yesterday, and they are still there if you wish to post anonymously...

I've been posting on this board for a while now, and the only person I know is Mr. Waitman, I have no idea who "ranramsey", "SKM", etc. are and I have not dropped my name on any of my posts and nobody seems to care.

Jib, you have provided interesting content, whether I agree or disagree. You back up your arguments, in a civil manner, and no one is offended by you (I think).
I guess I was just trying to push this guys buttons a little bit. Those who do know me on this board know that posting is not typically my nature.....
And with that...the free for all ends. We've said our piece on this issue. As you can see, controversal avatars cause too much animosity and thus create an atmosphere of hate. I don't mind people posting, in a civil manner, but I won't have people attackiing each other as a result of an avatar.
You can keep posting anonymously, that's fine by this boards standards. But if you post anything controversal, be prepared to take a little heat for it.
NaderMoore, I'm going to ask that you re-think what avatars you use for the sake of the purpose of this message board. I don't want you to think I'm censoring you because of the fact that I disagree with your political beliefs...please don't feel this way. However, because they are creating ill feelings and personal attacks, they are threatening the integrity of the board.
So please consider something else as your avatar and perhaps expressing your beliefs with words rather than a picture.

It is not the lack of a name, and it is not the political perspective that I take exception to. It is that the totally tasteless avatars are repugnant. I think that controversial discussions are okay within reason, but when you get to real meanness, someone has to be the final say on what is acceptable. I have seen a number of sites where the nastiness is beyond comprehension, and unfortunately some people thrive on this sort of thing and to them, it is not so much having a discussion as it is in deriving a great deal of satisfaction in baiting people. The entire premise of the creation of this site was to discuss issues in a civil and logical manner, and I think that Mr or Ms Nadermoore has already created an environment of meanness that supersedes civility simply by posting these confrontational avatars which preclude and/or inhibit civil discussion. If Mr/Ms nadermoore is like some of the previously referenced mean spirited people, he/she is probably revelling in the emotional response he/she is generating at this point.
Well, I created this board as a forum for people to express their opinions in a civil manner. Remember, if you've read the initial threads on this board, when it was first created, I said I would make sure we all remained civil.
So my question to you guys is....is posting a picture that depicts a president laughing at thousands of people dying civil? NaderMoore? Jyl? Is that civil? Or would you consider more civil, posting with reasons why you feel the president thinks thousands of people dying is funny?
Do you guys see where the line is? In my mind, people use avatars like that just to piss other people off...on purpose, without logic. I don't consider that civil...but that's my opinion.
Can you guys please answer my previous questions so we can work towards a solution? And I have to ask also we refrain from name calling...that also isn't civil. I know politics can be a dirty arena, but let's try and keep ours clean.
