RE: Circus Protestors and Illegal Aliens

Brandy , Steve, I hope you like many others with your opinions; call and email your senators and congress to voice YOUR opinion..  I call Boxer, Fienstien, and Davis ALOT and sometimes feel like its a dead end but i will continue to chastize them for thier voting behaviour. Pelosi  is a LOST Cause and a Danger to America !!!  Americans Stopped Amnesty no less than two times last summer. so they revert to sneak tactics. Its a disgrace to see democrats blocking the constuction of the border fence to protect the Leasted Terrns or what the H_ll ever nests there. OF Course; NO problem with the illegals tromping over the nests. OH wait. maybe they go after the nesting season is over ?? hmmm    We don't want to sing to the choir here, we need to sing to the ones we vote to defend the constitution of America, MUCH like I did for 27 years.

IRAQ,  ya can take that place and make glass factories out of it.  IF anyone thinks democracy is gonna work in that country there nuts.. have you noticed how our democracy is stifled by bickering amongn  REP, DEM and IND just in our mature government..   And you want those three IRAQ factions to agree. Yeah right !!

I AGREE WITH STEVE.......WHO WAS IT THAT SAID WE SHOULD GUARD THE BORDERS WITH ALL THE ILLEGAL ALIENS AND IF THEY LET ONE IN.........THEY HAVE TO TRADE SPOTS AND GO BACK TO MEXICO!  (ROBIN WILLIAMS MAYBE?)  GOOD LOGIC ANYHOW.  DID YOU KNOW THAT PLACES SUCH AS ARIZONA HAVE TO PUT WATER TANKS IN THE DESERT SO IF AN ILLEGAL ALIEN GETS IN THEY DONT DIE IN THE DESERT?  HOW EFFED UP IS THAT?

Could we possibly look at the Statue of Liberty in the same light as the Trojan Horse?  Maybe the French had a grand scheme when they gifted that to us?  Give that damn peice of rock back! smile.gif

I'm certainly no isolationist, though I creep closer and closer to that everytime I see illegals marching and acting against our government.

And just to clear some things up...

1. if they commit a crime, ship their arses back?  Uhhh, they already have committed a crime, they entered our country illegally.  So we better start shipping.
2. Why should legal Americans have to pay the price for their defunct government? (I know this is going to bring up an Iraq statement....ugh) When Americans feel their government isn't working for them and may be corrupt we don't go running to Canada.....ok...so most of us don't.

That is old rhetoric ..give me your masses !!  when those masses came, they came legally .. If you want people to work ..pay them... Dont sneak into my country and steal SSN's and live off the social structure..  If we need workers, there are H-1A and H-1B programs to bring them in.. but if the employers do that ..then they need To PAY THEM more.. I am as compassionate as anyone and my children are 50% mexican !!!  My wife is Mexican ! The following items would and do make me call MY congreesman and Senators.

* More than 10 million undocumented aliens currently reside in the U.S., and that population is growing by 700,000 per year, it is a sign of how dangerously open our borders are.

* they take away value by weakening the legal and national security environment

*  the presence of millions of undocumented migrants distorts the law, distracts resources, and effectively creates a cover for terrorists and criminals

*  In a post 911 world, we cannot afford to let just anyone come across the border

* Secure our borders. Existing immigration laws must be enforced as an essential component of our Homeland Security.

* We have a crisis right here among the American people where illegals are extracting free medical care and benefits from ordinary Americans

*
By rewarding lawlessness, we are simply inviting more of the same.  Remeber 1986 ?

* estimations by the National Research Council that the average household of illegal aliens in California alone uses $3,463 annually in services paid for by taxpayers. This includes, but is not limited to, health care, education, welfare, and criminal justice

*  in 1996 illegal aliens were displacing roughly 730,000 American workers every year, at a cost of about $4.3 billion a year, and the supply of cheap labor depresses the wages and working conditions of the working poor.

* The annual net cost of illegal immigrants (after subtracting their tax payments) to the American taxpayer is likely to be more than $45 billion

I lived in Arizona for 13 years, so I am aware of the immigration issue. However, I don't feel as strongly about it as you do. In my opinion, we have all come from somewhere. I myself am 100% Norwegian. ALL of my great grandparents came over from Norway. My ex-husband was from Yugoslavia. My son is 1/2 Hispanic. My current husband is part Native American. ??? Whom should we deport? In North Dakota, the only Hispanics I have heard of being here illegaly worked at D'Casa. Which was my FAVORITE restaurant! Other than that I think most of them are working the beet farms. I don't see many locals begging to do that job when there is oil money to be made. I do believe they need to get work visas and pay taxes. Also, if they commit a crime, ship their arses back where they came from if they don't have papers. I'm sorry, but if  I lived in Mexico, I would be swimming the Rio Grande to get the hell out also. Their government is so corrupt, the people there are suffering. That's just my opinion. I'm probably not the one to ask on this issue. What does the Statue of Liberty say?
Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me:
I lift my lamp beside the golden door.

Because of the dichotomy of both topics and to bring the energy exhibited in that link to something that i believe has a huge impact on us socially. I  find so many people complacent and want to stir the pot and get people thinking and acting... Illegal immigration is a HUGE social problem, you feel it in your pocketbook at tax time. As does the rest of America.  We feel it on a state level also. and trust me. if Dorgan Conrad and the rest of the gaggle keep looking the other way on the border fence, the e-verify and the anchor baby: america and north dakota are going to carry a financial burden that will cripple the country more than it is now....  Ask around when your in Arizona this weekend , see what that state is dealing with.  The bird feeders are being removed in Arizona and guess what , people are leaving.  its called self deport !

Now that we know the stance of everyone on the treatment of animals in circus's .. How much energy do you all put into solving the illegal alien issues impacting americas economy.  HOw many have picked up the phone and called Dorgan Or Conrad or the congressman "at large" who seem to think that open borders, companies hiring illegals, E-verify, and the  Huge financial burden on american economics is not worth bothering with ..   I would urge you all to encourage your friends to get on the phone and give your opinion to your elected officials.. If not, before you know it Williston will be like LA, San Diego, San Francisco (Sanctuary Cities)...
