Williston Oil Boom - Man Camp's - And Opinions
(Preview)
I really don't understand the bad will in Williston. When the last Boom left, I was working for my husband, my husband was working in Nebraska and I made 6 dollars one month. People are working and Williston is growing. We all have to learn to grow with it, with a little bit of tollerance. And the Wil...

Editors Note on Herald rude?
(Preview)
So I have to question WHY on my post when i misspelled a word, the editor found it necessary to downgrade me by using my misspelling in quotation marks to answer me. Did anyone else catch this ? What was the purpose? No wonder people on there don't use their real names. I feel like he made me look like an...

Feel free to take some time and dig back as far as we've been able to save. My personal favorite was the Hockey Club debate. There was some very good intellectual debate in that thread. You guys?

Moose
(Preview)
Has anyone else run into Moose on the highways? 3 Moose were on the 4 lane by Berthold yesterday. We had to give them the right of way. Also, been seeing a couple of Mountain Lions off and on. This seems odd in a way to me.

Where some of our tax money has gone and who said it was good.

This is a partial list of places where the stimlus went. The absurdities include: $3.4 million for a turtle tunnel in Tallahassee, FL. A total of 22 bathrooms in Mark Twain National forest that carried a price tag of $21,000 each ($462,000 total). A genital-washing program in Africa that ran the tax...

Busing students to school

What is it about current Williston that is causing long time residents to consider moving out? I know that every time a town grows in size, some of the "old-timers" are going to complain about how much better things used to be, but I've talked with 3 different families in the past month that a...

Vandalism vs. totalitarianism
