Haha! Yep, still living in Oregon indeed... and I did bring my own coffee from Portland to have at my parents. Well, it was more like a gift, but I did indulge. Funny, we tried to get coffee on Saturday morning around 7am as we heading out of town, but both coffee shops and the drive through place at Economart were all closed. We found some in Sidney though, so no worries.
By the way, the splash pad, tennis courts, and play equipment at Davidson park are pretty amazing. I'm jealous I didn't have those things growing up!

I forgot to mention Big Willy's. Small but service is great, food is great, and IMO a decent selection of beer. Has more of a "big city" feel to it.

The food at JDubs was great. Beer selection could use some help and the smell of cigarettes in the food section was quite a bummer. Also, the bar tender didn't know how to make a lemon drop for my wife... and refused to make it when I told the ****tail waitress how to make one. The waitress was great though.
I give it a 5/10 on the jibslider scale.

ps...you can't go wrong at JDubs if you want to take your wife out on a date.

Have a gyro at the pita palace one day and then a burrito at 3 Amigos. Pizza at Wildcat is tremendous as well. Not sure about the 4th festivities. I choose to do personal family stuff and stay out of the public stuff.
Enjoy your time home!

Hey, so is there anything going on in Williston over July 4th? Any fireworks displays, etc? My wife, baby, and I are going to be coming home over the 4th to visit family and was just curious if there are any festivities? I haven't been back to ND in the summer since 2009 for the high school reunion.
Also, where should I go eat? We're getting together with some old friends and are looking for somewhere to catch up and eat dinner and I hear there are some new places in town.
Thanks!
