the reason why I post any of this is that I hope to help others protect themselves from further devaluation of the dollar and total collapse of it.
you can still put some away every month towards silver.
if you have any savings in the dollar, it is high risk right now that's all....
because not only will it continue to lose value it will eventually be worth next to nothing, see Zimbabwe

Funny that he'd want $44.50 in U.S. dollars, though...
Just sayin'...

Edward Griffin's book above is a must read to help one understand the control and manipulation we are under.
thanks

Calmly, Tesla, please. No need for ad hominem comments on my happiness, girth, and satisfaction.. Rather than taking the opportunity to expound on your points and explain in further detail the ramifications of the Utah Sound Currency Act, I find myself treated to an out of context quote by Sam Adams. I blame myself for not doing enough research into the legislation. I’ve corrected that oversight, but I find I still don’t understand the hugeness of it all.
If I invest my dollar bills into gold coins in Utah I now don’t have to pay capital gains taxes on that investment. In theory, I can also pay my grocery, heating, and even my car payment in gold bullion or coin. The only question, really, is how I would do that. Seriously, I’d like to be there when the first person walks in with a gold coin and tries to pay for a Coke at the gas station.
I suppose my disinterest in this story is the issue of practicality. Why would someone us an American Eagle gold coin, with a face value of $50, for purchases when the value of the gold in that coin is $1,400. Sure, the right exists to use gold, but there is no practical way to exercise that right. Gold bullion, in theory, can be brought in to pay for a tank of gas, but just how would a gas station accept such payment? The state can accept a silver nugget as a tax payment, but just how exactly would that work?
This isn’t some currency revolution in which people will be carrying around satchels of gold coin for use in bartering goods and services. We aren’t moving to a system where stores will require scales to ensure the proper amount of gold is found in the coin presented. The only practical effect of this legislation is the tax status of gold and silver investments. It will be easier for the citizens of Utah to put their dollars into a relatively stable investment such as gold and silver. This isn’t a bad thing, but I question the move being heralded as some great liberation. This is a big F-you to the Federal Reserve and a symbolic move towards "liberty." Though I admit I do not recognize the tyranny from which such liberation is required. It appears that more research is in order.

for one it gives business and personal transactions the freedom to get away from federal reserve notes, secondly it takes away the ability for them to taxe those exchanges as investments....
it essentially eliminates the Federal reserves control over them which makes them free people and not SLAVES to private bankers...
Absolutely HUGE!!!

From what this CNN Money article says, it appears this is nothing more than the removal of capital gains and state from an investment transaction. It interesting, but hardly a game changer.

I think this would be good for ND to get on board with as well,
I think if there is any good from this world wide economic crisis it is that people will remember hopefully what a sham a fiat currency is...
