Oh just be careful - 7 vehicles in the ditches today. 2 upside down - 1 looked like it rolled but ended on its wheels. That just from the 9 mile. I would just drive the gravel roads - but most are drifted over. Unreal.
you can't be defensive enough driver around here I'll tell you that....
the combination of the iced and rutted roads, lack of maintenance. Plus the amount of rigs and young males speeding and ripping around in 4X4's combine for very dangerous roads for all...
probably the most if not the most dangerous area I've ever driven in....
and I've lived and commuted around the Beltway in D.C. and the Denver are for years also.
be aware of whats in front of you and anticipate as much as possible, doesn't hurt to drive at or under the speed limit in these conditions either.

Just witnessed a pick-up in the outside lane by Scenic Sports. The other pick-up turned and headed east - the pick-up on the outside lane moved over a little and got hung up in the hugh snow banks. Right side got sucked in and next the pick-up flipped on its side and make a circle in the road on the ice. Thank God - the guy's were climbing out of the windows. Never seen anything like it - they weren't even going fast at all. It happened in slow motion.
