Ok, I understand trying to find a better life for your family and all. But why would you bring you wife and children (yes children) to williston as it is  getting colder if you cannot find a place to live. Why not send them money and let them live where they are for the time being until you can secure a place for your family other than a tent. Yesterday and today I witnessed a mother, and 2 children getting out of their tent and heading to school (yesterday) and then brushing their teeth next to the car (this morning). These are the people my heart goes out to. I have meet quite a few transient workers who are making enough money for their families to stay where they are until they either can find a place to live here or can sell their current home where they use to live.

Maybe the jobs in Williston is this family's escape from months, years, or more of unemployment, foreclosures, and losing unemployment benefits elsewhere in the country. I'm speculating of course, but maybe this family is trying to make a new start in your town... a town with jobs, but no homes to live in. In my opinion it's better to live in a tent while employed, looking for a permanent home than to live in a tent in a region where there are no jobs.

I still do not like it. Yes, they should register with the PD, but who would know if they didnt. All it is going to take is one bad apple. I do feel bad for these people, but those of them who are not actively working or searching for a place to live shouldnt be there. I have heard that it takes months and months to find a place, but when you hear stories of people who find a place in a week or 2, it doesnt all ad up. I know a girl who has had 3 different places in the past year and only had about a month to find new places.

So what is everyones thoughts about that here, or maybe this was in another thread. At first I was thinking maybe they should just have them move out to spring lake park, because all the parents where complaining about them being there next to the new park. As long as they are working, i dont see any prob with this, as long as they register and have background checks done. And if there were any pedophiles living there, they still have to contact the P.D., right?
