Yes, the oil can be spread out over the land, leaving the farm land usless down there. Plus it could mean an end to oil in ND as well. So many people have been saying how great this oil spil is for ND, but the oil prices are dropping, if they go too low, they will shut down. Some companies have said that they are putting a hold on how many people they are hiring until the see what this recent drop is going to do.
I have seen weather reports of the stirring hurricanes. Can the oil be picked up and spread across the land or pushed further and faster through the oceans? Both?

Intrigued...yes. Swayed...not in the least. Like I said, "interesting take". Nothing more...nothing less. I figured my "VERY EASILY have been prevented" statement would have made you realize this.

I'm quite shocked Steve. I never thought that you would be one to be intrigued or swayed by fiction. I guess the immaginiation is quite a powerful entity.
No matter what your take is on off shore drilling, natural resource extraction, or environmentalism, I believe a common ground has been reached... the situation in the gulf is nothing short of a catastrophe, a man-made, preventable, heart and job wrenching catastrophe.
It's difficult when lessons need to be learned the hard way with much destruction and devastation that is occuring in the Gulf, but thank God eyes are open once again to the rules and regulation of that industry.

I think BP has been trying to blame a number of entities. Halliburton being one them. There has actually been a chain of finger pointing going on that ultimately resulted in BP being directly involved with this. Something that could VERY EASILY have been prevented.

This "media source" that first reported this "hoax" made our Williston Wire as news as well. I find it hard to believe that this is the case. If it was, BP would be willing to give the blame to someone else right now to prevent the negative press. As for the event itself, I guess it just gives us one better reason to drill up here in North Dakota instead of off shore.
Here's an interesting take on the spill in the Gulf.
