You - Your home or Apartment's- and Lead base paint

I am sure the White House already had that covered, on our dime.  My bird's live in CRP, the government hand out to farmers, you all know the one.  Also our CRP is next to Little Muddy Creek, which is also protected. I feed Corn and all the other wildlife food.  I don't hunt.  Silly me.  But i am not against Hunters.  What,  has every department of the Government gone totally crazy.  Or might they be getting rich off the BS they spew everyday.  You all thought you could not get contractor's before, this has only made it 10 times worse.  confuse

So if the gubment is going to force us to spend tons of cash on this bill, are they going to give back our tax dollars to do so?

Jib, I still say the mercury in the old weather birds went down much easier. smile.gif

If you like mercury in your birds, then you'd love the taste of DDT in your sturgeon, paddlefish, and feathered cuisine. smile

Perhaps this bill will be good.  They may find out that reducing lead exposure could lead to smarter future politicians. biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

While traveling over the weekend I was listening to a radio program about this topic. The host compared this to the fear issue about arsenic in wood. He stated the other side of the coin with that. He said that one thing that was left out about the wood, the arsenic fear for the extra amount that would seep into the ground that could poison our children would be equated as thus:

A child would have to digest 7 shovel fulls of sand per day for years in order to poison their system with enough arsenic to do damage. Yet we set off a scare.

He wanted us to be aware of this scare tactic when we are talking about our paint issue. There are 2 sides. All of these elements occur naturally. He touted the lead in the toys from China. It came out that a child would have to suck on the toy non stop for years to obtain enough lead to cause harm.

I would love to find these stats he was spouting. Any one else aware of this? I was really curious. Just have not dedicated the time to validate what I heard. Interesting though.

Anything built in 1978 and before, the Lead Base Paint, and Construction is going to cost each and everyone of you.  From painters - to plumbers - to electrictians - Remodeling of any type. It is a national law and it will hit you.  The rule's are insane and the reprimand is more insane.  More lawsuit's is all I can say.  Look Up lead base paint - I am sure nd.gov can help you.  Make your own conclusion about this.
