RE: Isn't it ironic...

Personally I just think they have all lied and cheated on the public and got away with it  - it is just one more step for them to do the same to their own families.

I don't think being part of a particular political party makes you more susceptible to adultery, or that democrats in general are more adulterous. In general it's a societal issue, not a political one.

I dunno....I bet if there was some way to do a study the odds have it that those power brokers have a God complex....and if they do it, it must be okay...since they are not part of the little people...but that is just my opinion...anyway you look at it....their perspectives are very very bi-partisan....if only they could find another common ground...

I agree, Jib.  However you can get away with this behavior if, and only if you're the President.  I know this to be true because it happened twice. smile.gif

True. I think the president and politicians only "get away with that behavior" from a judicial standpoint. The American public and history won't let those public servants off the hot seat, and neither will their spouse (at least privately in President Clinton's case).

Yep...it is...if they are going to talk the talk, then they need to walk the walk....This kind of behavior is rampant in the Democratic ranks as well.... and is so common, most people don't even pay much attention anymore....the Dems are having a field day with this one primarily because the Repubs tend to run on "family values", so when one of them fallls down.....the hypocrisy stands out....This sort of behavior is so prevalent in the Democratic party, they just don't care what people think when they do it, and the media tends to downplay it.

However, back to your question....He should resign...

It is shameful.

That Mark Sanford, the governor of South Caroilina, voted for Bill Clinton to be impeached on moral grounds yet he doesn't feel that he should step down from his position? Hmm, the tables are turned and the same standards don't apply.
