Well, it seems Vector is doing something right!! Ive read some things on the herald guest book and it sounds like there are a few people enjoying the summer. Thanks guys!!
Its sad to say tho that when the mosquitoes were horrible, everyone was complaining, now that they seem to have them somewhat under control, only a few chime in. My post (DGW) was on there. We really enjoyed the 4th, didnt have to set in our screened in deck.

Yay Mosquito People! I have personally seen a significant differance from where I live! I have yet to put on spray in the evening....We have sprayed our yard with Tempo and I have walked through the grass everymoring/evening to check on my bird feeder and have not had a problem so far......I can sit on my deck in the evening without a problem....I live 15 miles out in Trenton but this time last year it was NUTS! So kudos to Vector Control (and my neighbors for spraying thier yards as well)! I can finally enjoy my summer evenings!!! (Where as other years summers sitting out on the decks ended mid June).
PS I also have a lantern by ThermaCell that is supposed to work wonders (in a 15x15 foot area). I have not tried it yet, but have tried the ThermaCell handheld and that works awesome!
I'm thinking what really happened when they sprayed the bottoms was that the mosquitos all headed to my yard for protection in the tall grass behind my fence. Kids had a small swimming pool back there for a couple days after the spraying so it was the perfect environment for em'.

C'mon....we new before we voted for this that it would take more than just one spraying. The numbers of mosquitos collected so far a way below what they have been recently so I do believe it's helping. Give it some time.

Seems to me they have come out in full force much earlier in the summer. I was airborn for a couple seconds when mowing my back yard on Saturday. I'm guessing the mosquitos around here are highly intelligent and moved from the bottoms to the city just prior to the C-130 spraying. At least that's what it seems like.

Not to criticize, but wow for mosquito's. Just wondering what the latest was on the success of spraying the bottoms. I heard there were good results but tonight felt otherwise.
On a similar note. The fogger came by my house tonight. It was spraying fine at the beginning of the block but started to sputter as it got to my house. After it passed my house it started working fine. Strange?
