RE: Perez Hilton

She made her point better, then if she would have won. Hilton is a worthless person catching a ride on people's tail's. I could not care about his gay right's issue's (and before you jump down my throat, their are some in every family) I give them no more respect than given to me from them. (Because " how dare I not have sympathy for their struggle.")   That too will make probably make a whole new issue. But oh well.

I for one am proud of that girl...clearly she knew answering the way she did would garner a low score for her answer.....she stood for what she belives in!  That shows more integrity than any one else in that room!  Last I was aware of was how you gave your answer not what it actually consisted of!  Perez should of scored her high because she had the guts to tell everyone including him her honest answer just as he has the guts to be openly gay, when at one time it wasnt looked upon so freely as it is now!  He's a loser! And what the hell does he know about pagents?!?

This goes beyond the pagaent.  This Hilton guy represents a portion of the country that scares me TREMENDOUSLY.  It wasn't so much that he was pissed at her for her answer.  It was more the fact that she didn't "ride the fence" on the issue since it wasn't the same beliefs as his.  Pagaent or not, this is a double standard that is becoming more and more common on both sides of the fence.  "If you can't answer the right way, better not answer at all" This guy was looking for a way to promote his gay beliefs and it turned around and slapped him back in the face.  For this reason, he went on a tirade about her on his blog site.  Tasteless.

He would rather have had her put her tail between her legs (very nice legs at that) and be "politically correct" about the issue.  I was proud of that girl for having a set (perhaps Perez would have like her more if she literally did) and actually voicing her true opinion.  He should have respected it and moved on.

If everyone in this country had the same attitude as this guy, we would be called France.

Finally, had she answered being in favor of gay marriage, would the media have gone into a frenzy about it?

I didn't watch him but I'm assuming your talking about the Miss USA pageant fiasco. I think it's ridiculous that the right is now complaining that the left has now infiltrated the Miss USA pageant with their propoganda. It's a pageant. It's supposed to be subjective. Not only that, but it's brought to you by Donald Trump.  It's for entertainment and for The Donald to make money. I think  a bigger conspiracy should be why it's always the same states that make it to the end. If Miss North Carolina would have worn a Miss North Dakota sash would she have still won? Maybe we should worry about that instead. Maybe it's a liberal conspiracy since North Dakota tends to be conservative. What do you think?

My!  What phenomenal insight you have.  Personally, I could care less about the Miss USA Pageant. Never saw Perez Hilton before he got on the news about this. I am also on the right, and am not a conspiracy nut....and never supported the vast right wing conspirators who were out to get Bill Clinton, according to the Secretary of State, and could care less if the left has infiltrated the pageant.  I do think that a gay guy is probably a good judge of good looks and feminity, and if nothing else, the contestants would surely be safe with him as a chaperone....  Donald Trump is making money alrighty, but he was no fan of George Bush.  He worships Mammon...and could care less if it is a left or right issue.   ....and now, back to my coffee...
;o)
