RE: Political question

1. what exactly did YOU as a individual (along with the majority) agree on.  I want specifics.   who said this?

Years ago I advised my fellow co=workers to be very careful about voting for Bill Clinton because they would be buying a pig in a poke sack.

Many, especially those who were Democrats told me that I was all wet. Didn't know what I was talking about. That I was just plain wrong....

Months later, as we were standing in the unemployment line, I could tell who the Clinton voters were. because none of them could look me in the eye. Just kept their eyes downcast. They knew that they had voted for Clinton and had done it to themselves.  who said it?

and who was this........ After an initial encounter in which he PAID Steve Gobie $80 for sex, the Congressman says he tried to lift the younger man out of drugs and prostitution by hiring him to run errands. He wrote letters to Gobie's probation officer and paid his psychiatric bills. He allowed Gobie the use of a car and sometimes his apartment when he was out of town
AND who did this....  Voted AGAINST, Bush's tax cuts in 2001? He also gave Bush authority to out Iraq and Saddam.  ANd then months later voted to spend 87 BILLION dollars to pay for militry actions!!  you got it REID!!!

and Bill Ayers...is nothing but a sad, sad man stuck in the 60's.  He needs to get a life!!

Do your research!!!  I did mine!!!!

So, go ask those stubborn republicans these same questions.  If they can't answer questions like these then find out how they base their decision on who to vote for.  If they tell you they vote all republican and don't pay attention to who's running and what they stand for...ask them what they think of McCains views on immigration.  Ask them what they were thinking on Bush's spending policy when they voted for him.

Perfect opportunities for you to set those republicans straight on that.  biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

And I agree, there are going to be people on both sides.

But let me ask you this....do believe there is bias in the media?  Do you believe there is no such thing as a media agenda?

I was actually picking more on the media with this thread rather than a political party.  You're more than welcome to start another thread letting us know why you voted for Obama.  That's what message boards are for.  And your opinion is appreciated here.

Thanks.

Totally bias in the media.  I believe that 100%.  Fox news and CNN are both very bias towards their political partys.

I don't think another thread needs to be started on why I voted for Obama.  #1.  The majority of people agreed with me anyway :)  #2 I live in williston, ND. Nobody is going to agree with me anyway.  I'm a crazy democrat stuck in Republican state/city/county.  I've tried this arguement many times.  People say democrats are stubbern.  But try stating your point on obama in a bar full of republicans.  Whew!    biggrin

Interviews like that drive me crazy!!!  Do you really think these were just "random" people???  No way!   If they did find someone that knew the answers, they just didn't use them for the video.  How can you even go by something like this??  Thats not the general public!  Thats just the dumbest people they could find.      I can honestly say I could answer them all.

Stupid.....unscienticifc...and quite frankly....degrading to the people that actually were informed enough to vote.  Why didn't anyone come and interview me and ask why I voted for Obama.  Because I actually have a brain ???  It seems they always bypass the people like me in these stupid videos.   I guarantee you that you could find just as many uninformed people that voted for McCain.

Here's the site where I got my line of questioning.  In my mind there's an obvious media bias.  But I firmly believe too many people go into voting booths with absolutely no clue what their truly voting for other than what's popular with the majority of the media.  Just my opinion...and the reason for my questioning.  I challenge you guys to ask these questions to as many on either side of the fence as you can.  If you do, let me know what your results are.

or Huckabee.

I appreciate Huckabee's honesty.  I love it when he talks about the lack of morals and system of accountability in our country.  Without a system of accountability like the ten commandments in our public, the kids have no boundaries with which to live by.  And it's very obvious that parents aren't doing a good enough job at home.

One of the students in the Leadership Williston class did an outstanding speech on R-E-S-P-E-C-T.  Something we see less and less from school children in almost all grade levels.  She used the food fight several years ago at the old jr. high as a prime example. These kids disregarded all authority. For punishment, the children had hot lunch taken away, but were still served a sandwhich, some other stuff, and an apple.  What?  That's punishment?  So instead of a milk carton being chucked at a kids head, you give them something that resembles a baseball to potentially throw?  What are we teaching them?

This is just one of the things that intrigues me about Huckabee.  As well as his desire to get rid of the IRS. biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Bottom line though, I agree with you Jeremy that it's a major, major uphill battle for these two considering how little attention the media is willing to give them.  Guess they just don't have the dollars to buy their way into office. biggrin

ALL CANIDATES ARE CONTROLED/HELPED/HURT BYT HE MEDIA.  EXCEPT RON PAUL.  RON IS ONLY HURT.  HE WILL NOT GET WITH THE PROGRAM (I.E. CONFORM TO THEN MIGHTY MEDIA MACHINE) SO THEY ALL ACT LIKE HE DOES NOT EXIST.  EVERY ONE OF YOU WHO IS FOR HONESTY, FREEDOM, POWER TO THE PEOPLE, LESS GOVERNMENT CONTROL, LESS MEDIA CONTROL, NEED TO CHECK OUT RON PAUL.

Joe Biden was bounced from the 1988 presidential race for plagiarizing a speech made by a British politician.

Ding ding ding...we have a winner.

It was Tina Fey and ONLY Tina Fey that spoke those words.  Sarah didn't say anything like this.

Sarah said you can see Russia from Alaska...not her house.  But for some reason (media) this is how we remember Sarah Palin saying it.

One makes Sarah sound like an idiot.  The other makes it sound like a simple fact and emphasizes Alaskas importance on foreign affairs.

Next question...
Who backed out of a political race due to plagiarism?

Agree with SKM.

My dad worked as a contractor in Shemya Alaska. It was one of the very last islands on the Aleutian chain. It was barely big enough for an air strip. I think it was something like 4 miles long by 2 miles wide. Anyway...he would always joke that they used to throw rocks at Russia. (They were that close.)

Quick question for all of you...first one with the correct answer wins...well..nothing but we'll still call you the winner.

Which of the four candidates made the following statement?  "I can see Russia from my house."

Marks..get set...GO!
