No joke.  I've been on those roof-tops in Denver.  Pretty freakin cool.  The propane heaters put out some major heat too.  Jeremy, build UP and put a roof-top bar on your establishment!! biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

smoke free is a nice option. living here in colorado the only smoking places are those that make a majority of thier money off of cigar sales. This has also prompted alot of "smoking balconies/patios"

My friends and I have lunch there at least once every week and we love it!  The food is awesome, the prices are great, and service is speedy.  Everything we've tried on the menu is good.  The new part that just opened looks really nice, and it was much needed as the place fills up fast!smile  The smoke free option is wonderful.  You are doing a great job, keep up the good work!

The Rivers Edge has 3 different sections that I use.  I choose to keep 1 side a smoking side for my guests.  After all it is still a bar, we just serve great food.
The smoking side and non-smoking side are only connected by a doorway so hardly any smoke comes through to the non-smoking side.
I believe that the state-wide smoking ban will be upon us in the next couple of years and everyone would have to be smoke-free.  The trends are there around the country and eventually it will come.
I have seen a great increase in my business since I gave the option of a non-smoking side.  Many guests come in now that would normally not because they don't have to smell the smoke.
I like giving my guests the option of the different sides so each person can choose for themselves where they would like to hang out.  There is always a place not matter if you are a smoker or not.

Why not make it entirely a smoke-free establishment?

Smoking is only allowed on the back bar side.
The food is being served in the front bar and new dining area.

You can enjoy eating without having smoke in your face.

Is smoking still allowed inside the River's Edge? It would be nice to eat some good food without having to eat someone's Marlboro's.

Thanks Kingfish.  I appreciate those comments and I would like to see meaningful discussion also.  I also think if someone is going to use their "sense of humor" they need to make it a bit more obvious and a lot more tactful than the way it was used in this thread.  But again, you've hit the nail on the head as far as bringing back issues related to Williston.  Much appreciated.  One final note on this issue, if there's some kind of offense taken to remarks made by others, perhaps we can use the personal messages option to confront the offending poster.  You can get your point accross without bringing the negativity to the rest of us.  Just a suggestion.

Back to this topic....
I was hoping to get a first hand look at this menu today but Rivers Edge wasn't opened. smile.gif
Jeremy,
Can you post your hours of business and any specific days you plan on being closed?   Thanks for posting and bringing new options to Williston!!   I look forward to my first visit.

Hey SKM,
Relax, chill, ease up on the reins, mellowout, calm down. You are rendering this site unuseable, who wants to risk a butt chewing every time they use a 50 year old phrase that was considered innocous decades ago. Check with Powell and see if he wants to make you a moderator for this board, if not, spare us the drama.
To All:
Let's get this board back to meaningful issues discussed in an atmosphere of mutual respect for the differences in each of us. That is where the synergy to solve problems is at. No more reprimands, no more ridicule, no more bad mouthing. Just respectful consideration for different views and an earnest effort to understand why someone else feels the way they do.
Just call me; "waiting for months".

Hey Jeremy;

I have already heard several times, from several people that you have really turned the Edge into a really nice eating place. Congrats.

The new addition and menu are almost complete at the Rivers Edge!
There will be many new items including the following:
4 - Pasta Dishes
5 - Steak Selections
6 - Dinners
4 - Seafood Dishes
3-4 Desserts

Including our current menu with some additions and deletions.

Warm loaf of bread before every meal!
Choice of Ceasar or House salad with Dinners!

All Meat Choices will be CAB! (Certified Angus Beef)
Top of the line in the beef industry!

I will continue to post more specifics as the opening gets closer.

Any suggestions or comments are greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Jeremy Wright
