Tom Marshall, phish lyricist publicly stated that Anastaqsio is deeply in favor of a reunion yesterday. Lot's of excitement on the web. Are you up for a roadtrip recguy?
Love the music but the scene was a little too much for me. I love how their is so many levels to their music and lyrics. If you have not heard T.M.W.S.I.Y. you just have no idea about phish and thier music.
I have over 100 shows on cd (i also have a bunch of tapes) if you went to a show and want a copy their is a decent chance that I have it or can get it.
Really enjoyed everything about Widespread Panic the music, the scene, the fans (did not have the hippies living off the road).
Panic is a southern rock band with their own groove. Check em out.
I started listening to Phish in College (circa 1992) and I saw them in concert in Austin TX once. I actually have a funny story about that night but it's too long and confidential to go into here.
The whole "Phish" scene is a trip. My old friend from Williston Jeff Frick (he moved away our Frosh year at WHS) follow them around for a while. He was a total Phish head.
They are a bit obscure in these parts, nice to hear someone has heard of them. Ben Cannon introduced me about 1999. Instant love affair for me. Attended 3 shows proir to disbanding, enjoyed the "phishhead community" as well. There was a significant quote from one of the members yesterday that could open the door for the reunion. I better gas up the VW Van and get ready to hit the road. Anybody else?
