Everythings good here.  Thanks for asking.  Weekends get a little slow around here.

We capped off my sons 11 year old traveling basketball season this weekend.  They defeated Sidney's White team to win the Sidney tourney yesterday.  Good way to end the season.

Monday's here so let's get back to posting. smile.gif

Yep...Mica, you didn't miss anything.   If you're a Dem so be it.  It's your choice and that is what's really great about the U.S.   We all have the right to live, love, speak, and disagree.  Good Lord, hon you should see some of my "family reunions"!  LOL!!  Half are Reps and the other half Dems.  Sometimes I just sit and wonder how in the world I came out of the gene pool that I did.  LOL!
I've always "bucked the system".  So in all logic you'd think I lean more to the liberal side but I don't. smile I always knew there was going to be a reaction (good or bad) and I was totally responsible for that reaction.   So I guess what I'm trying to say in a long round about way is... if you make a choice and it turns out not the way you expected or wanted, don't expect someone else to bail you out.  I think it's great that Randy, Steve, Jim, Jib...etc can get on this nice site and just talk, joke around, keep in touch, etc!  smilesmilesmilesmile

Nah...I don't think so, I was trying to spin off another thread on jibsliders comment on being on the other side of things from most of the other citizens in Williston, and it might not have came out like I meant for it to...

You'd love my wife.  She works in health care and is also an educator and she will not admit to being a democrat....to this day (almost 30 yrs later) I really still don't know which way she votes...scary ain't it?  But in my secret heart of hearts, I just know she is a closet democrat (at least in many ways), but me and God both love her anyway.  ;o)

I am just hoping that people will post up, and will free wheel with the dialogue in any direction their little hearts desire so we can all try to learn something about the other side of things.

My philosophy on things is "persuade me, and convince me using logic, and I will change my mind, but I expect the same courtesy".

;o)

Steve made a good point, on another thread that most likely the majority of us posting are pretty conservative politically.

I know that some of the individuals who read this stuff are bent the other way. That is perfectly fine.  How can you have civil discourse if it is all one-sided?

Steve has already made it clear that he will not tolerate mean spiritedness on this forum, but at the same time we can freely debate and discuss pretty much any subject.

It seems like any forum you connect with any more is completely partisan, so as Steve noted, these sort of forums consist of people of like minds.  I'm open-minded though...I even voted for Al Bervig when he ran for office once upon a time....and he was (is) a Democrat.  C'mon liberal friends of ours...step up!
