Conrad at the library today 1pm. He was here a year ago. Now we have tighter banking restrictions which tie the hands of developers. How is he going to help? Just another listening session?

eagles ridge is supposed to be pretty as well. as far as things to show. well there is fort union and fort bufford. the standard other things, downtown, grab a coffee at the coffee shop, show her your schools.
This is kind of a late response since our trip occured 1.5 months ago, but what happened to the Mysic Blend? Another victim to lack of employees?
My family enjoyed going there when we were all in town, and in my opinion it was an excellent edition to the commercial section of Main.

Have you guys eaten at J-Dubs? Excellent food! Check out the Chamber website. Might be something there. Hope your visit home is enjoyable!

I am looking forward to going to the MDH Trail this summer. I have heard a lot of great things about it.
I recommend the MDH trail to everyone I ride (mountain bike) with out here in Oregon. The MDH is awesome, and it showcases some of ND's more interesting landscapes. I used to come back every summer to ride the MDH with some buddies that live in Fargo and GF, but haven't had a chance to get back in a few years.
If you are going to go the best advice I can give anyone is to make sure to bring an ample supply of water and DO NOT ride the trail after a recent rain (learned that lesson the hard way). Give the guys at Dakota Cyclery in Medora a call too to find out about trail conditions and routes around the parks (if on a cycle).
In other words... GO DO IT!!!!

Playing on Jeremy's theme of "the perceived lack of things to do" I have a couple of things to do: 1) Legion Park - great place to hike, my kids are still talking about how they climbed the mountains and had a great time. 2) River Bottoms - The river bottoms are another great place to hike, except this time through the forest (yes forest) and we even built a fort out of fallen branches and twigs. Heck, bring a GPS and maybe create a GPS Geocaching hunt (http://www.geocaching.com/faq/). 3) Maah Daah Hey Trail, Medora to North Unit - I don't have any personal experience on this trail but by all accounts it is pretty amazing. 4) Camping - We have a ton of camping spots not least of which is Lewis and Clark State Park - a family friendly campground that even has wireless internet for those of you who need your fix even when camping.
Bottom line is that we are literally surrounded by a million things to do, you just need to get out and do them, and most of them can be done without spending a whole lot of cash.

Aquafina Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run Competition hosted by the Williston Jaycees. Starting at 2:00 p.m. at the Western Star Ball Fields. Youth 7 - 14 compete for a chance to advance through four levels of competition, including Team Championships at Major League ballparks and the National Finals at the 2008 MLB All Star Game. For more info contact Russell Larson at 570-5251. The event is free and open to all.
This topic will eventually merge into the "Upcoming Events" thread but for now I'm going to promote it to ask for volunteer help.
A group from Leadership Williston is putting together something called Rock to the Future that is to coincide with the Blast from the Past. The intention is to provide a night of fun filled activities in a location that is distant from the adult agenda that takes place downtown.
They are in need of volunteers and donations to make this inaugural event a huge success. If you would like more information contact me and I'll put you in touch with right people.
ps...I've seen the things they have planned for this evening and it is looking like an absolute blast!!! Your time spent helping will most definitely be worth it!!!
