RE: Where are you 1990ers?

Baby Girl #2 is due Sept 11.  Congrats on the littlest one.  I hadn't heard that you had a new edition.  When Kemp gets off his butt and gives you back your hard drive, send over some pics.  I'll forward you some too.

He didn't appear to be missing any teeth but he he really looked a lot like that Dwarf from The Lord of the Rings, but with a Vikings cap on.

"I met the guy he had long straggly hair and a Viking cap on"

Was he missing any teeth?  Are you sure he wasn't a closet Packers fan?  I haven't seen Boone in years.  He was a lot of fun at the ol' LEFC outings.

ps...the grass never will be green if we don't start seeing some rain.  cry

For the record, I am a Steelers fan, not a Vikings fan, and I live in the land of Cowboys fans.  Ick.  Funny thing, I had a customer meeting this week and when I met the guy he had long straggly hair and a Viking cap on.  He was from Minnesota.

I got a dose of Williston news this weekend as my uncle Boone was in Austin for a visit.  The one thing he was excited to do was mow & trim my yard.  Which worked out well for me.  He hasn't got to do his yet this year because the grass isn't green in ND yet.

Hello from Austin Texas!  Kemper emailed me the link to the message board so I thought I'd jump in. That's my daughter Patti on the left.  I've been married to a lovely lady from San Antonio named Melissa for 7 years now.  I'm truly blessed.  Though I do miss ND on occasion...

Good to see the topics of coversation haven't changed too much since I left town: The Price of Oil, Weather, The Vikes, and of course Mosquitos.  Though in 1990 the price of oil was bout $10 a barrel so I guess that's different.

Mostly I just wanted to say Hey, I've been lucky enough to connect with a bunch of the guys from Williston on our annual ski trip to Whitefish MT over the past several years.  That's been awesome.  The rest of you I hope to hear from soon.

Cheers,

Chris Collings

Yeah, and no one gave those nicknames to us Webster kids because they knew they'd get beaten up by someone that would quite possibly end up at the boys ranch some day.  biggrin

When I was at school having lunch with my kids one day, I was telling them and their friends that we werent allowed to talk during lunch and if you did and got caught, you had to stand at the stage and eat.  Remember that?   And Mrs. Quie would walk down the hall yelling "PEOPLE PEOPLE WALK WALK".  Ugh....

Wilkinson.  Mrs Quie cry, Mrs Marplecry, mrs Gilbertsonsmile. mrs aberlesmile.  My duaghter was complaining about her principal a few weeks ago, and he is Young and nice, so I told her about my principal, Mrs Quie.  Navy suit, lacy white/cream top, hair in a bun.  I was so soooooo  scared of her.  I don't ever remember getting into trouble and having to go to her office, thank goodness, but I do rmember she was intimidating as HE**.  Mrs Marple cought me talking while i was putting y boots on, and had to write 100 sentneces.  Palying Red Rover, British, marbles, chicken fights, and seeing how many flips we could do on that merrigo round! That was Forever ago!

Yep, Troy and I spent a lot of time together.  We used to ride his horse, Snooper, and we'd catch tadpoles, frogs and what have you.   Ahhh...but, Steve... I also remember playing strip poker up in Troy's barn!  It was you, me, Troy and Dawn Flores.  Ha, ha, ha, ha!!!  What goofy kids we were!smile

Yes I lived on 18th - I dont remember if you walked me ALL the way home but I remember thinking I was cool cuz I liked a guy from another elementary school.  Seems weird to think that my own son is getting old enough to start walking girls home.  UGH...

We'll have to find someone to host the party on the prairie this reunion.  That was a great time!!  I need to bust some of those pictures out and post a couple.  haha  D-RUNK

Shayla and I weren't an item, Shayla knew better, that didn't stop me from chasing though.  Shayla, weren't you and Troy Rosanne an item "back in the day".

Mica, that was an ironic walk, I don't remember, but man did you live in the same house on 18th, if so that was a long walk home from Allison's.

No, we moved from the "party in the pasture" house to a place closer to town.  We are now out by the 4 mile, funny how I never venture too far away from a bar.  20 year will have to be somewhere else because I don't have the land to have a party like last time, it will still be a blast.

Thanks, no they go to Hagen, just a little more convenient for me to give them a ride (which is not really true because Lewis and Clark would be closer).  I just remember being beaten up regularly by Bruce Star, chasing you around the playground, TammyRahRah and Ryan Barkie being a "thing", the vibrating merry go round (not sure why, but that merry go round was popular with the girls), Brad Fenster and Kyle Severson betting on who would enlist first, Miss Miller and her mighty bosom, calling Mrs. Bauer a "B" (not real smart), writing sentences (getting the paper out of the piano bench), and getting sent to Miss Johnson's office.  Ah the memories of Rickard Elementary.
