I just wanted to tell everyone in Williston how exciting it is to hear how well Brian Qvale is doing starting as a true freshman on the Montana Grizzly basketball team here in Missoula! He is a superstar at the UofM. Now if we could only recruit his brother for the Griz football team.....
Coyote Volleyball team won a state title a couple years back. They had a pretty dominating team, only dropped a couple sets the entire year.
I think that among the teams listed in the poll, that we have the best chance to win a title in girls hockey, albeit probably not this year. There are less teams playing, and the program has had some success in the last couple years. The states leading scorer is on the team, and a Jr. and will be back next year.
Boys hockey, thats tough. THere are always 2-3 really dominant teams. Don't get me wrong, would love to see it.
Boys basketball would be my 2nd choice, we have came close (something like 4 straight 3rd place finishes)...and we do have our big guys (Qvale and Skad) coming back next year.
Girls basketball......I probably shouldn't say anything on this subject. Lets make it to WDA before we start talking state titles. I will probably get in trouble for saying that...
Good luck all teams...I am heading to Minot in a few minutes to broadcast Coyote Basketball tonight...
That was pretty close to home though. You'll hear a lot of those last names around Williston.
Where did you see that, Jeremy? Someone else on this board was looking to see that also.

Although, Williston has won state titles in something within the last couple of years haven't they? Besides the Keybirds.
